Not Everyone Will Go To Heaven
Not everyone will go to heaven. This is a sad thought, and for some it is likely an obvious one. There are some, however, who think that a loving God would not send anyone to Hell. And others may think that the way to heaven is an easy road (ie. just believe).
But we know that the path to heaven is not an easy journey but a difficult one, and few get to it (Matthew 7:14). We also know that not everyone will make it to heaven.
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ Matthew 7:21-23.
There are many who believe that they are heaven bound who are mistaken. There are many who feel they have nothing to worry about because God is a loving God. Of course, God is a loving God, but He is also a righteous and just God (Romans 3:21-26). As a just God, He let’s us decide whether we get to heaven or not.
Unfortunately many still think that they are good and on their way to heaven, when they are in fact evil and headed the other way. And people calling evil good is something that the Lord is wearied by.
You have wearied the LORD with your words; Yet you say,
“In what way have we wearied Him?”
In that you say,
“ Everyone who does evil
Is good in the sight of the LORD,
And He delights in them,”
Or, “Where is the God of justice?” Malachi 2:17
Indeed these words in Malachi still hold true to this day. People sin and say they are good with God without actually doing what is commanded. It is a sad thing and it is up to Christians to inform as many as we can about the true way to heaven.
