Telling Your Marvelous Works
I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart;
I will tell of all Your marvelous works.
I will be glad and rejoice in You;
I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.
Psalm 9:1-2
Sing praises to the Lord, who dwells in Zion!
Declare His deeds among the people.
When He avenges blood, He remembers them;
He does not forget the cry of the humble.
Have mercy on me, O Lord!
Consider my trouble from those who hate me,
You who lift me up from the gates of death,
That I may tell of all Your praise
In the gates of the daughter of Zion.
I will rejoice in Your salvation.
Psalm 9:11-14
Our God is so good and mighty and deserving of all praise and honour. We should offer praise with our whole hearts. And because we have such a magnificent Master and such a grand hope, we have cause to be an extremely joyous people.
This joy should spill out from us. It should be contagious. Being a loving people, we should want others to be able to share in our happiness in Christ. As mentioned in the above verses, we should be wanting to tell of our Father’s marvellous works. We should desire to share the great actions and love of our Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Our Father has been merciful to us and has blessed us richly. We have been given the time and opportunities to tell others of His great works - to “tell of all Your praise”. There is so much to share with others. I’m sure we can all think of things in Christ that we could boast about to others. Consider:
Therefore in Christ Jesus I have found reason for boasting in things pertaining to God. Romans 15:17 NASB
Let us tell others of God’s marvellous works!
