I Know I Need to Know

I Know of You God
All have heard of You
I know of Your word
I begin to read it

I Know I Need You
All have need of You
I know I need Your word
Only through it can I know You

I Need You
You are great and mighty
I need Your word
Only through it can I be saved
I learn of Your Son and Your plan
I learn of my sin and my shame

I Need to Know You
I desire to be obedient to You
I need to draw closer to you
As I learn, I desire to learn more

I Know You
I study and obey
I am familiar with You and Your word
Though I may stumble, I stand firmly in Christ
I have matured

Salvation--
I Know I Need to Know
And now I do

Have we seen this progression in ourselves? Have we come to know God; to know His Son; to know of the salvation that is offered? Do we continue to desire to know more and more of God’s word? We should!

We need to continue to mature in Christ and grow in our knowledge of the Scriptures. And that maturity should show in us. Consider 1 Corinthians 3:1-3 and Hebrews 5:12-14
